Rosemary "Peach" Catherine Leptic Hughes, 75, previously of Disputanta, Va. and Taneytown, Md., went to be with her Lord and Savior, March 15, 2013. Most will know her as the "Short Lady" at Kitchen's Stop and Shop in Disputanta, where she worked as a cashier for many years. She previously worked at Standard James Shoe Store. After years of declining health, she accepted Jesus into her heart and now stands joyfully by his side. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Christine and Joseph Leptic; brother-in-law, Stanley Overholtz; great granddaughter, Delilah Walker; and her ex-husband Robert Hughes. She is survived by her only daughter, Tina Walker and husband Bernard; grandchildren, April Wolfe and Ty Seibert, Cynthia Walker and Bryan Webster, Catherine Walker and Thomas Espinosa, Lee Walker and wife Sabrina, and David Wolfe; Great Grandchildren, D.J. Wolfe, Gabryela Wolfe, Serenity Walker, Elizabeth Webster, Aaron Espinosa, and Danielle Webster; brothers, Ray Leptic and Butch Leptic; sisters, Shirley Overholtz, Ella Gregory, and Joann Cullipher; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. A special thanks to the staff at Dinwiddie Health and Rehab for their care and concern. A memorial service will be held at Smith's Grove United Methodist Church, 8301 Smith Grove Lane, Petersburg, Va. 23803, Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Dave Lewis officiating.
