Roy Melton Jr.

Roy F. Melton Jr. Roy Frank Melton Jr., passed away on Wednesday, Sept 30, 2009 at home in St. Petersburg FLA. He was born in Richmond Virginia and later moved to Florida. He retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He served both in the Korean & Vietnam war during which he received the purple heart. Earlier in his career he was attached to the Air Force Office of Special investigation (AFOSI). Upon retirement, he settled in St. Petersburg Fla. where he worked a number of years at Bay Pines V.A. Hospital. He is survived by his three (3) sons, David, Darryl and Dean; and five grandchildren Max, Michael, Jack, Sophia, and John. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday November 18,th 2009.
