Rudolph “Rudy” Alexandria Wells, 73 of Chester, went to be with The Lord Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Horace and Dorothy Baxter Wells. Rudy was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Wells. He is survived by a loving wife of 37 years Amanda Holloway Wells; two brothers, John Franklin Wells and Michael Wells (Linda); niece, Michelle Morris; great-niece, Michaela Wells; great-nephew, Trevor Morris; special friends Holly and Kathryn Pond and a school of fishing buddies. Rudy served in the United States Army. He retired from Reynold Metals after many years. Rudy was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 882 and the American Legion Posts 2 and 284. He was a member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge. Rudy also attended Second Chance Baptist Church. Rudy enjoyed life with his friends through fishing, dancing, cornhole, and golfing. He lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday May 17, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road Chester, Virginia 23831.
