Rupert Alligood

Rupert R. "Bill" Alligood 78, of Colonial Heights, died Thursday August 19, 2010 at McGuire Veterans Hospital. He was the son of the late Huel Levi and Emma Landon Pinkham Alligood; Mr. Alligood was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Sue Alligood, a son C. Michael Jordan and a brother Pete Alligood. He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired Service Technician for Sears and Roebuck. Mr. Alligood is survived by two daughters, Catherine G. Nikolaisen and son in-law Kenneth Nikolaisen and Deanna S. McGee and her husband, Jim McGee all of Chester. Four grandchildren, Danielle Nikolaisen, Heather Jordan, Savannah McCracken and Landon Harrison, four sisters Doris Ballance, Margaret Alligood, Betty Lou Boyd, Evy Carol Wallace and brother Jack Alligood, all of Washington, North Carolina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 24, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia, with the Reverend Mark Houser officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday August 22, 2010 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, 23834.
