Russell George Pellerito was born on October 14th, 1948, in Long Island, New York. He passed away peacefully at Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, VA on September 21, 2024. Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Pellerito and his father, George Pellerito. He is survived by his two daughters, Tamara Almany and Kirsten Pellerito, granddaughter, Alexis Dennis, great-granddaughter, Wrenleigh Dennis, and his former wife Linda Nichols. Some of his extended family members are Tamara’s fiancé, Carl Hile, Kirsten’s fiancé, Kevin Dykes, and Alexis’ husband, Alex Dennis. Russell was raised on Lakeview Avenue in Colonial Heights, VA where he continued to live for the remainder of his life. He attended Colonial Heights High School and John Tyler Community College. Russell worked for Brown and Williamson for many years and was also a truck driver for American Book Bindery. He worked at the Barbeque Pit for a few years and then worked at a few different places until reaching retirement. Russell loved listening to classic rock with some of his favorite artists being Iron Maiden, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ozzy Osbourne, and Metallica. He was well known in his community by the nickname of “Cone” and had many friends throughout his life. His two best friends were Mark Suter and Phil Miller, and they spent a lot of time together over the years. Anyone who knew Russell knew that he was “the life of the party” and he had a lot of adventures over the course of his life. A memorial services will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Woodlawn Baptist Church 3120 Woodlawn Ave Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Immediately following the service there will be a family gathering at Lakeview Park in Colonial Heights. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
