Russell Edgar Randolph Jr. passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 3:55 a.m. at the age of 63. He is the son of Russell Edgar Randolph Sr. (deceased) and Delores Maxine Randolph of Dinwiddie. Russell was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and a graduate of Colonial Heights High School. He was married in February 1969 and divorced in May 1991. He retired from the United States Air Force as an E-7, Master Sergeant, with 22 years of service as an Air Traffic Controller. He started his career at Lackland AFB in Texas for basic training in 1969 and served his country starting at Langley AFB in Newport News, Virginia; in Taiwan, Homestead AFB in Florida, Frankfurt AFB and Ramstein AFB in Germany, Hurlburt Field in Florida, and retired to Dinwiddie County. He is survived by a daughter, Regina Anne Randolph; a son, Russell Edgar Randolph III both of Colonial Heights and a daughter, Rachael Marie Foos and her husband, Raymond Joseph Foos II of Indiana; grandchildren, Rachael Lee Randolph of Colonial Heights, Raymond Joseph Foos III and Tatiana Mariah Foos both of Indiana; step-granddaughter, Tina Tex of Florida; brothers, James Christopher Randolph and wife, Judith of Brunswick County and Danny Eugene Randolph and wife, Dorothy of Dinwiddie; a sister, Delores Yvonne Randolph of Petersburg; one niece; three nephews; five great-nieces and one great-nephew. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Randolph Family Cemetery, 12307 Halifax Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Flowers welcome.
