Ruth M. Kettyle, 84, of Colonial Heights, a native of Carteret, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Chippenham Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Rose Roszits Bubenheimer. Mrs. Kettyle was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Kettyle. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the Colonial Heights American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #284. She is survived by five sons, Robert Kettyle of San Antonio, Texas, Richard Kettyle and wife, Kathy of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Raymond Kettyle and wife, Lisa of Middletown, New Jersey, Ronald Kettyle of Williamstown, New York and Russell Kettyle of Petersburg, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Rachel Kettyle Wankel, Michael Kettyle, Jackie Kettyle Moragas, Marisa, Kaitlyn, Brett, and Krista Kettyle; six great-grandchildren, Amber Viventi, Thomas, Christopher and Meghan Wankel, Wyatt and Madalyn Kettyle; a sister, Karen Valiant of Middletown, New Jersey; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 with a prayer service to follow at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
