Ruth W. Lewis, 69, of Dinwiddie died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents Arthur L and Mary Owen Williamson and first husband Jimmy R. Burnette. She retired from Brown and Williamson and was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church, Dinwiddie Women of the Moose and a school bus driver for Dinwiddie County. Survivors include her husband, Joseph F. Lewis, Jr.; daughters, Patricia B. Urda and husband, Eddie of Bracey, Mary B. Livesay of Fredericksburg, Lynda K. Slade and husband, Victor of Dinwiddie; sons, Dennis E. Burnette, Sr. of Dinwiddie, Howard L. Burnette, Sr. and wife, Pam of Dinwiddie; step-daughter, Sandra K. Lewis of Colonial Heights; step-son Kevin Lewis and wife, Linda of Dinwiddie, Donnie Lewis , David Lewis and wife, Gwen of Dinwiddie; sister Mrs. Nancy E. Cheek of Dinwiddie; brother, James A. Williamson of Clarksville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. Jon Dundalow officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening (tonight) from 7-8:30. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park.
