Ruth Moore

Ruth Davis Moore, 101, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Born in Greensville County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late John W. and Nancy Gray Davis, and the widow of Horace W. (Buck) Moore. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a son, H. Hugh Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Mildred Moore Kline and husband, Robert of Richmond; four grandsons, Scott Gund of Petersburg, Christopher Gund and wife, Lisa of Emporia, John Fugman and wife, Tina of Ashland, and David Fugman of Charlotte, North Carolina; a step-granddaughter, Monica Kline of Chicago; great-grandchildren, Travis Gund of Blacksburg, Trisha Gund, Elizabeth Gund, Garrett Gund, and Stephanie Gund all of Emporia, and Juliet Fugman of Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Jerry Edwards officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Round Hill Cemetery, 2701 Brink Road, Emporia, Virginia 23847. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday prior to the funeral.
