Sammie Smith

Sammie Michael Smith 62, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, September1, 2017. He was born December 9, 1954 in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Tommie O. and Virgie Buchanan Smith. Sammie lived with his parents in Colonial Heights, till 1999 when he moved to Wedgwood Group Home in Petersburg. He is survived by his brother Tom W Smith and wife Marsha of The Villages, Florida; and numerus nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Steve Felker officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park Enon, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Wedgwood Group Home for their many years of Love and Kindness to Michael.
