Sandra Simmons

Sandra Arvin Simmons, 64, of Sutherland, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late William and Martha Lamaroe Arvin, and the widow of James Madison Simmons. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her three sons, Jonathan Michael Simmons, and James Carlisle Simmons (Melissa) and Eric Spears; five grandchildren, William, James, Matthew Christopher and Nicolas Simmons all of Sutherland. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. David Prather officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
