Sarah Bailey

Sarah Royster Bailey, 90, of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was born on September 14, 1922 in Dinwiddie County, Virginia to the late Edward Graves and Elizabeth Owen Royster, and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Bailey. Survivors include her sons, Marvin L. Wells and wife, Betty of Virgilina, Collis E. Wells and wife, Sally of Northport, Alabama, Harold L. Wells and wife, Vickie of Colonial Heights; her daughter, Elizabeth W. "Sissy" Brandt and husband, Carl of Colonial Heights; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Boyd of Dinwiddie and Rachel Winn of Blackstone. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Mike Osborne officiating. Interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
