Sarah Edwards

Sarah L. Edwards, 69, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virgie Hawkins Reese. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, the Colonial Heights American Legion Auxiliary and the Colonial Heights Senior Citizen's Club. She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Edwards; her children, Lisa K. Rhodes and husband, Charlie of Richmond, Bruce W. Hirn II, Joe Hirn, and Kimberly Weatherford and husband, Donald all of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Tabitha Hirn, Brittney Weatherford, Joey Hirn, David Hirn, and Alexa Hirn; great-grandson, Mason B. Hirn; her father, Lloyd W. Lane Sr.; three sisters, Brenda Edwards, Betty Adams, and Lori Lane; a brother, Lloyd W. (Bubba) Lane Jr.; and numerous cousins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Prince George with the Reverend Dwayne Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
