SFC Brion Edward Sullivan, USA, 44, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at VCU Medical Center. Born June 11, 1970 in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Judith Ann Sullivan. Brion was the recipient of the Mare Chaussee Award, and was a member of the Sgt. Audie Murphy Club; he received the following awards and decorations, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal (6th Award), Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), National Defense Service Medal Bronze Star, Southwest Asian Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Developmental Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 5), North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, Drill Sergeant Badge, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Driver Badge, and Basic Marksmanship Badge. He is survived by his wife, Bree Sullivan; his children, Sean Michael Sullivan, Scott Gabriel Sullivan, Samantha Annastasia Sullivan, Chase Alexander Sullivan, and Jake Bridger Sullivan; his father and step-mother, Michael and Carol Sullivan; a brother, John Patrick Sullivan; several nieces and nephews; and a grand-niece. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Memorial Chapel, 1901 Sisisky Boulevard, Fort Lee, Virginia 23801. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. Monday November 3, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brion's name to the ALS Association DC/MD/VA Chapter, 2800 N.
