CSM Warren Maston Sutton USA (ret.), 79, of Dinwiddie, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy D. Sutton and Mary McCloud Sutton; brother, Roy; sisters, Gail and Priscilla. Mr. Sutton served during the Korean Conflict, Dominican Republic and Vietnam and was a recipient of many medals. He was a member of Kenwood United Methodist Church in Petersburg, Petersburg American Legion Post #2 and a 3rd Degree Mason. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Keiko Sutton; son, Warren Sutton Jr. and wife, Kim of Yuma, Arizona; daughters, Nancy A. Bishop of Fort Worth, Texas, Catherine Gale and husband, Edward of Andover, Connecticut; six grandchildren, Andrew Sutton, Sarah Mayfield, Kathleen Burgess, Jennifer Masumoto, Cody Bishop, Mitchell Boileau; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary, Nancy, and Wendy; sister in-law Dottie, numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express thanks to his dear neighbors and friends, Bob, Lois and Carol for their love and support through the years. The family expresses appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Southside Regional Medical Center and the McGuire Veterans Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. Mr. Sutton will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, with full military honors.
