Sharon Wessel

Sharon Lackie Wessel, 47, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at MCV Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Philip G. Lackie. Mrs. Wessel was a member of Crawford United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Wessel; a daughter, Cailin N. Wessel; two sons, Korey S. Wessel and Kyler C. Wessel all of Dinwiddie; her mother, Elizabeth Lackie-Powell of Prince George; her step-father, Lawrence C. Powell; a brother, Glenn P. Lackie and wife, Vicki of Gloucester; her mother- and father-in-law, Deanie and Edward Wessel of Prince George; a sister-in-law, Marsha D. Pitts of Chester; a brother-in-law, Mark E. Wessel and wife, Barbara of Youngsville, North Carolina; and numerous other relatives. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Thomas Lester officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
