Shelby Ivey

Shelby Jean Ivey, 73, of Petersburg, formerly of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Artis Ivey of Petersburg and Leslie Robinson Camp of Phenix City, Alabama. She is survived by her sister and caretaker, Rebecca Ivey of Petersburg; two brothers, Chester W. Ivey of Emporia and Davis W. Ivey of Prince George; special nephews, Donald Bruce Henderson of Phenix City, Alabama and Howard Brent Henderson of Decatur, Georgia; with several other nieces and nephews in Virginia and many special friends in Phenix City, Alabama. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road 23805. A memorial service will take place following the visitation with the Reverend Mike Harrell officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Monumental Baptist Church 2925 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
