Sherri Gordon

Sherri Lynn Gordon, 59, of Chester, Virginia, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 4, 2022. Born on April 17, 1962, in Hopewell, Virginia, she was the daughter to the late John L. Archer Jr. and Louise W. Archer. She is also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Eddie Gordon.

Sherri was a kind-hearted, caring, and lovable person, especially known for her contagious laugh. She was a devoted lover of the Lord and child of God. The love she had for her family was unmatched, and she would put everyone’s needs before her own. Sherri enjoyed road trips and adventuring, and you never knew where she might end up. She also loved spending her time at the beach or river. Sherri was such a loving person and will be missed immensely.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Gordon; her children, Jason Thompson (Jasmine), and Kimbre Snead (Scott); grandchildren, Manning, Claire, Aria, and Stark Thompson, and A.J. Pritchett; siblings, Kenneth “Dusty” Archer and Debra Archer; mother-in-law, Rose Gordon; nieces and nephews, Angela, Larry, Amber, Aaron, Destiny, Desaray, Zackary, Candice Milliman, and Crystal Puckett; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Road Chester, Virginia 23831. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
