Shirley Cooke

Shirley T. Cooke, 77, of Colonial Heights passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Lucy Corr Nursing Home.  Born in Richmond, Virginia on June 14, 1944, Shirley was the daughter of the late Alfred L. Bryant & Dorothy Holzner and was preceded in death by grandparents, Hattie & Leo Holzner.

She is survived by daughters, Angelia Mosconi Higgins of Chester and Shelia Boykins of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Chloe Keeton, Crystal Boyce, Ashlyn Boyce and Willie Boyce; four great-grandchildren; loving aunt, Brenda Holzner of Petersburg and a dear devoted family friend, Christine Mosconi.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with Dr. Michael Moore officiating of Beacon Hill Church, Hopewell, Virginia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.  Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
