Shirley Draper

Shirley Price Draper 81, of Dinwiddie, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at her residence. She was born December 5, 1935, in Chesterfield County, Virginia to the late George and Edith Hayes Price and was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Lynn Cheek. Shirley was a long-time member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Dinwiddie where she was a choir member. She retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and from the Colonial Heights Kmart Pharmacy after many years of service. She is survived by her husband James William Draper, sons Robert S. Hanford Jr., Louis "Eddie" Hanford and wife Ann, daughter Pamela H. Robertson and husband Chip, grandchildren Ashley Thompson and husband Robert, Jordan Hanford, George "G.W." Robertson III., Elizabeth Robertson, Joshua Staples. Brother James Edward Price and wife Joyce and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Smyrna Baptist Church 18971 Carson Road Dinwiddie, Virginia 23841, with the Reverend Dr. Robert Rowland officiating. Interment will be Private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, at the church.
