Shirley Sirles Fried, 71, of Prince George County, passed away peacefully at Retreat Hospital on August 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Payton & Effie Richardson (Papa and Big Mamma); her daughter, Ann Marie McGee; her son, Dave Sirles; her brother, Billy Sirles; her mother-in-law, Anne Fried; her father-in-law, Frank Fried Sr.; her sister-in-law, Millie Burrell and her brother-in-law, Tommy Burrell. Shirley retired as office manager of H.L. Henshaw Realty in 2006 after more than 30 years of service and was the owner of Yesterday's Treasures Antique Shop in Disputanta. She is survived by her loving husband & best friend, Frank J. Fried; her daughter, Kay Reneé (Turner) Simmons and husband, Wayne of Prince George; her step-son, Johnny Fried and wife, Robin of Carson; her sister, Linda Phillips and husband, Parker of Emporia; her brother-in-law, Bobby Fried and Lisa of Prince George; her grandsons, Rusty Overby and Dallas Fried; her granddaughter, Brooke Fariss; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank her very special friend and caretaker, Christine Osborne, she loved her and looked forward to her visits from her. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the nurses of MCV and Retreat Hospitals. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 in the Mausoleum of Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
