Shirley Jarratt

Shirley D. Jarratt, 72, of Dinwiddie, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2012 after a nine month courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Richard R. and Lila Williams Delbridge. Mrs. Jarratt was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Lee Roy Jarratt; a dedicated son, Gary W. Jarratt; a daughter, Judy Jarratt Catasus; a chosen daughter, Sandra Forbess; her chosen grandchildren, Katie Babb, Kristina, Jennifer and April Forbess; a special friend, Donna Anderson; and caregiver, Gloria Kollmann. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. Dr. Steve Felker officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Readville Baptist Church Cemetery, 20158 Princeton Road, Stony Creek, Virginia 23882. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
