Shirley Johnson

Shirley Vaughan Johnson, 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 8, 2016. Shirley was born in Hilldale, West Virginia to the late Seldon Jack and Elizabeth Gertrude Wyatt Vaughan. She is also preceded in death by two of her sons, Gary Halstead and Steven Halstead. She was a retired AT&T phone operator. She is survived by a son, Shawn Johnson; grandchildren, Jesse James Halstead and April Riggins and a great-grandchild, Chase Freilinsdorf. A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
