Shirley Jarman Lucy, 75, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on November 2, 2015 at Johnston Willis Hospital. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late, Enoch Lyn and Alice Phillips Jarman; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John C. Lucy, Sr.; and a sister, Bonnie Jarman Cunningham. Mrs. Lucy had worked as a Pharmacy Technician at the Peoples Drug Store in Petersburg and retired from the CVS on the Boulevard in Colonial Heights. She was a longtime member of the Colonial Heights Optimist Club and had served as the clubs President. Mrs. Lucy is survived by her daughter, Debra Lucy Neathery and husband, Mike of North Dinwiddie; two sons, John C. Lucy Jr. and wife, Lynn O. of Mechanicsville, and B. Keith Lucy and wife, Jean of Colonial Heights; six grandchildren, Eric and Matthew Neathery, Erin Lucy, Jonathan Lucy, Justin Lucy and wife, Teri Blair and Cara Lucy; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Neathery and Harper Lucy; a brother, Glenn "Buster" Jarman and wife, Rebecca of Colonial Heights; a special nephew, Thomas Cunningham; and numerous other loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA, 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the funeral home.
