Shirley L. Weeks, 68, of McKenney, Virginia, passed away on October 11, 2013 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville, Tennessee. She retired from Chesterfield County General Services. Shirley was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Mosses and Luther B. Scott and her sister Jane Phillips. Survivors include her husband, William Weeks of McKenney; five children and spouses: Danny and Cindy Crump, Richard Crump, James and Linda Crump, Sheila Crump and Angel Stone; eleven grandchildren including Kristy Crump, Eric Crump, Heather Braithwaite, Ryan Crump, Phillip Mayhew, Patrick Mayhew, Jennifer Reaves, LeAndra Crump, Christopher Crump, Bruce Wallace, Amanda Stone; three great grandchildren; Thomas Mayhew, Hailey Carnes, Jaeleigh Reaves; five brothers, Luther "Buddy" Scott Jr., Mark Scott, Wayne Scott, Stacy Scott, and Kevin Moore; sister, Sandra Elliott; as well as several nieces and nephews; special friends, Christopher and Michael Lussier, Selesa Rugar, Les and Kim Richie, and all of the "DOGS" employees of Chesterfield County. The family wishes to express thanks to Greeneville Family Practice, Dr. Dharmen Patel and his staff, Dr. John Boys and his staff, Dr. Stephen Prince and his staff, the staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital, and a special thanks to Dr. Sonja Woods. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013 in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The funeral procession will leave the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Monday at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends Sunday October 13, 2013 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
