Shirley Wright

Shirley Brooks Wright, 83, of Colonial Heights passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born on January 8, 1935, in Petersburg, to the late Lennie M. Brooks Sr. and Emma Spain Brooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. B. Wright; and a grandson, Luke Wright. Mrs. Wright was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church, and a retired Personnel Clerk for VDOT. She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Wright and Bruce B. Wright (Amber); grandchildren, Robert C. Wright, Levi A. Wright, and Harper B. Wright; step-grandson, R. Allen Jessup; and step-great-grandson, Nathaniel A. Jessup. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
