Stanley Eugene Cornett Sr.

Stanley Eugene Cornett Sr., 84, of Chester, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at his residence.  He was born in Petersburg, Virginia on November 15, 1939 to the late James Stanley and Virginia Heptinstall Cornett. Stanley was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of both the American Legion Post 146 and Post 284 and the VFW Post 637.  He retired after 34 years of service from Allied Chemical-Honeywell. He is survived by his loving wife, Tinia Cornett; children, Diana Gustinis and husband Rich, Stanley Eugene “Bubba” Cornett Jr., and Daphine Williams and husband Mathew; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, his mother in-law, Annette Johnston; sisters in-law, Denise Teller and husband Chris and Renee Berry; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S.
