Stephanie Thompson

Stephanie Johnson Thompson, 55, of Carson, formerly of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Barbara Ellis Johnson. Stephanie was a member of Second Baptist Church on Johnson Road, and a former member of Monumental Baptist Church. She was an employee of Ashland Incorporated in Hopewell, Virginia, and a former graduate of Hopewell High School. Stephanie was a loving wife and mother, and will be missed very much. She is survived by her husband, Carlton Paschall Thompson Jr.; and a son, Christopher Shawn Thompson and fiancée, Elisabeth Strauss of Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, with Pastor Chris Jenkins officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
