Stephen Graves Altorfer was an amazing young man. He was born November 24, 1993, the second child of William and Estella Altorfer. Both of his parents and his siblings, Rebekah Lynn Steed, Emilie Faith, and Joseph William will miss him desperately. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law David, nephew Jacob and niece Lyla, and his grandparents Sandra Altorfer, Terrie and Paige Webb, and Dewey and Sherri Mahanes, as well as all of his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends everywhere. He will remain vibrant and alive in our memories, stories, and contagious laughter, just as he would expect. Stephen graduated from Calvert High School in 2011. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 777 in Calvert, Maryland. He served a mission in the Boise, area for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Currently, he was in his junior year of college at Brigham Young University in Utah where he worked as a Campus Police Officer. Stephen smiled easily, hugged often, and loved to do anything at any time for anyone. He had a passion for reading and writing and truly loved learning. Like all normal boys he loved playing video games with friends at home and online. Music filled his life. He enjoyed wrestling, coaching, climbing, and everything adventurous. In these last few days, it has become clear that Stephen touched more lives than we ever knew. He is gone way too soon, but we expect that he will be busy doing the Lord's errands. Dearest boy, Until we meet again, be good! If you can't be good, be righteous!
