Stephen Carter

Stephen Brian Carter 50, of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Brian was an employee of the City of Colonial Heights Utility Billing, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 882 in Petersburg, Virginia. He was a fan of Virginia and The Dallas Cowboys and was also an avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by his children, Stephen D. Carter of Colonial Heights and Tori E. Carter of Chester; mother Jane E. Ogletree, of Colonial Heights; father W.R. Carter Jr. and stepmother Joyce of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; sister Beth Gaskin and husband Derek of Colonial Heights; nephews Andrew and Kyle Gaskin of Colonial Heights; aunt, Margaret O. Whitehurst of Colonial Heights; uncle Ronald E. Ogletree and wife Linda of Disputanta; cousin Andrew Whitehurst of Colonial Heights; and numerous other cousins. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2016 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
