Stephen Rigby

Stephen Lee “Hippy” Rigby, 54, of N. Prince George passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at his residence.  He was born on October 7, 1966, in Petersburg, Virginia. Stephen loved motorcycles and fishing; and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was also a life-time member of the National Rifle Association and worked for E. I. Dupont Company for 16 years.  Stephen is survived by his parents, Shirley and Robert Rigby; brother, Matt Rigby; best friends, Charley Wilson (Ellen) and Christine Grubbs and her children, MacKenzie Grubbs (Doodlebug) and Andrew Humphrey. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 3935 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.  Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, N. Prince George, Virginia 23860.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060 or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
