Steven Brunow

December 25, 1954 - December 12, 2021, Steven Elliot Brunow, 66, of Dinwiddie passed away with his wife by his side on Sunday, December 12, 2021, after losing his battle with cancer.  He grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University.  Steve was loved and highly respected by his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Lillian M. Elliot Brunow; his grandparents, Lyle Elliot, Alice Jones Elliot Davidson, Charles Davidson, Jules H. Brunow Sr., and Harriet V. Brunow; his aunt, Evelyn Peschko; uncle, Bruce Elliot and aunt, Cathryn Elliot.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Ellen F. Brunow; his father, MSGT Thomas A. Brunow; step-daughter, Kimberlie A. (Todd) Pace; grandson, Mason M. Pace; sister, Tracy (Daniel) Finerman; brother, Thomas H. (Sandy) Brunow; niece, Lisa Baker Holmes; nephew, Sean Baker;  and aunts, Cathy Cade and Chris (Art) Chickneas.

Steven was proud to be an American and was honored to have served in the US Army for 14 years.  For 16 months he assisted Haiti as a Property Disposal Officer and he retired as a Major.

He retired after serving 36 years of faithful and devoted Federal Service with the Defense Commissary Agency at Ft. Lee, VA.
