Stuart Noble Reynolds began singing the Hallelujah Chorus with the heavenly choir on September 5, 2020. Stuart is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Loretta Jones Reynolds, four children (and their spouses), Charlotte Sheppard (Doug), Mary Rees (Andy), Jeannette Telete (Dean), and Stuart Reynolds II (Pam) and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Esmond and Mary N. Reynolds, and his cherished sister, Ann R. King.
Stuart retired from CSX Railroad after working in communications for nearly 40 years. He shared his lifelong love for aviation with his son, traveling to air shows from Virginia to Wisconsin. A huge fan of Lady Blue Devils gymnastics, his support from the stands was unequaled. Ever genuine, a former pastor describes him as “a what you see is what you get friend,” and “a great part of our church family.” He rarely missed a Sunday, particularly enjoying singing in the choir at Weber Memorial Baptist where he made a joyful noise with gusto. He was a member of Barton Heights United Methodist (and then Chamberlayne Heights after they merged) for many years. Most recently, he attended Oak Grove United Methodist in Dinwiddie, where he lived for the last ten years, and treasured the special friendships he made there.
