Susan Daniels

Susan Pulley Daniels, 78, of Hopewell passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home Friday, March 25, 2022.  She was born July 7, 1943, to the late Samuel H. Pulley and Gladys Pauline O’Merry. Susan was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald H. Daniels; son, Michael Ryan Daniels; brother, Thomas E Nunnally and a loving daughter-in-law, Rebecca V. Daniels. Susan is survived by her three sons, Gearld E. Daniels of Dinwiddie, David H. Daniels of Hopewell and Wayne L. Daniels of Hopewell; a loving and devoted daughter, Toni Carol Daniels of Hopewell; a loving and devoted step-daughter, Beverly Mathias and her husband, Mitch of Amelia; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Walker, Christopher Daniels, Brandon Daniels, Kevin Daniels, Patrick Daniels and wife, Valerie, Ryan Daniels, Justin Daniels and Ryleigh Daniels; four great-grandchildren, London Daniels, Owen Daniels, Nolan Daniels and Brelynn Walker; a loving, caring sister, Gladys Nunnally of Colonial Beach VA and a very special daughter-in-law, Rhonda Crowder of Richmond VA.  Susan loved her family. She grew up in Dinwiddie, VA where she met her true love and got married at 17 years old. Then the fun began with each of her children. She had a lifetime of fishing with her family and bowling with family and friends. She loved watching NASCAR with a cold Miller or two. Susan also loved gardening. She was loved by everyone and at times had more children at her house then she had of her own. They all called her mama. She treasured each and every one of you all. Susan will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but she leaves a lifetime of memories.  A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.  An additional celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crater Community Hospice, cratercommunityhospice.org/support-us/.  Condolences may be registered at ealvinsmall.com
