Susie Brooks

Susie Martin Brooks 80, of Hopewell, died Friday April 25, 2008 at Hopewell Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lottie Bennett Martin. Mrs. Brooks was a former volunteer for John Randolph Medical Center; she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hopewell Ward. She served two full time missions for the church in Arizona. Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband Herbert C. Brooks, a daughter Donna Tucker and husband Beau of Prince George, two sons Don (Buddy) Brooks of Richmond, Rodney Brooks and wife Sherrie of Coates, NC, one brother Donald E. Martin of Colonial Heights a sister Velma J. Wilson of Colonial Heights, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place Tuesday April 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hopewell Ward 4181 Prince George Dr. Prince George, VA 23875, with Bishop Derrick Johnson officiating, burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, The family will receive friends Monday April 28, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
