Susie Eversole

Susie Brough Eversole, 87, of Dinwiddie passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Dunlop House. Born on March 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Sallie Brough, and is also preceded in death by her brother, Willie Brough; and three sisters, Ruby Moore, Vivian Austin, and Louise Holt. She is survived by her loving husband, John C. Eversole, Jr.; three daughters, Sandra Goodfellow and husband, Randy, Juanita James and husband, Hoyt, Tammy Kowalik; son, Irvin Eversole and wife, Diane; eight grandchildren, Deanna Peloza, Tony Kraus, Jennifer Muller, Melissa Newman, Stephanie James, Wendy Fields, Timothy and Christopher Kowalik; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sisters, Ruth Emory, Dora Jean and husband, Ralph; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Dunlop House for their extraordinary care and compassion during Susie's stay. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Rd. Petersburg, Virginia, 23805, with the Reverend Raleigh Nunnally officiating. Entombment will take place in Southlawn Memorial Park, South Prince George, Virginia.
