Susie Vaughan

Susie Muehl Vaughan, 93, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Brighter Living Assisted Living Center. She was the daughter of the late Erich E. Muehl Sr. and Susie Robinson Muehl. Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Vaughan; and two sons, Carlton E. Vaughan and Erich U. Vaughan. She is survived by two daughters, Helen R. Smith and husband, Michael of Indianapolis, Indiana and Betsy Neblett and husband, David of Hopewell; three grandchildren, Michael Smith, Rob Ruxer and wife, Torrie and Erin E. Hagedorn and husband, Rick; two great-grandchildren, Calista and Dylan Ruxer; a sister, Irma Rose McCullough; a brother, Erich E. Muehl Jr. and wife, Maudann; and several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, with the Reverend Dr. Glenda Hollingshead officiating. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
