Sybil Smith

Sybil Dorothy Felts Smith, 82, of Waverly, formerly of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ridden and Betty Pope, and the widow of Paul Smith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton J. Felts Sr., and a grandson, Trey Felts. Mrs. Smith was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and retired from Virginia Power. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Felts Pierce and husband, Michael of Smithfield; sons, Clifton J. Felts Jr. and wife, Janice of Youngstown, North Carolina, Donald Robert Felts of Elm City, North Carolina, and Linwood W. Felts of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Travis, Sarah, Rebecca, Christopher, Raymond and Joe Felts, Amy Johnson and her brother, Jeames Henry; great-grandchildren, Wake and Gracie Felts, Calista, Michael, Trey, Fernando, Sarah, and Brady Johnson, Sarandon and Ashley Felts. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Raleigh Nunnally officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
