Tammie Boykin

Tammie Rena Boykin, 54, of North Dinwiddie, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She loved gardening, cooking, and decorating for the holidays. She also enjoyed spending time with her chickens and her late chihuahua, Nina. Tammie was preceded in passing by her mother, Shirley Lang; grandparents, Winnie and Stanley Bowe; and uncle, Stanley "Bubba" Bowe, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Al Boykin, Jr.; children, Amber "Nikkie" Deckerhoff, Elizabeth "Sissy" Deckerhoff (Billy), Alyssa Ramsey, Rodney Smith (Lestee), and Michelle Elsesser (Richard); grandchildren, McKynsie, Preston, Brandon "B.B.", Hunter, Allie, and Bella; stepfather, William "Billy" Lang; siblings, Michelle Elmore (Michael), and Roy Francis, Jr. (Dawn); friends, Bill and Eileen Ferguson; many other close friends; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Rd., Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
