Thelma Jones

Thelma Frances Jones, 88, of Colonial Heights passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Hopewell Healthcare Center. Born March 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Della Shelton and was also preceded in death by her husband, George W. Jones; son, Danny R. Jones; five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Ronnie C. Jones and wife, Donna and George W. Jones and wife, Vicki; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Chris Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday night. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. Monday February 1, 2016 in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon, Virginia. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Unity Baptist Church, P.O.
