Thelma Jones

Thelma "Beth" Jones, 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born October 5, 1936 in Texas. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Jones, and a daughter, Nancy Carol Skinner. Mrs. Jones was a Charter member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Chamberlain; two grandchildren, Jamie Knox and Michael Chamberlain; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Nina Piper Mealey of Texas; two sisters, Virginia Barrow and Betty Jo Stephens of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Ave, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Joey Anthony and the Reverend Dr. Andrew Brockelman officiating.
