TJ Leshen, age 54, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on September 5, 2024 very unexpectedly. TJ was a member of the US Navy for 4 years (1989-1993). He was a very proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers-Local 45 as well as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, also known as Ted Leshen. TJ was known to his many Boilermaker brothers and family as a fun loving, hard-working, prankster. He was a very proud father to Koda and Sylvie. He is well loved by his wife, Judy, mother JoAnn, sister, Debbie and her daughter Tori, all still living in Pittsburgh, his dog, Jimmy Houndrix-better known as Hound, cat, Pru or LIttle Watermelon, as well as a host of friends and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He enjoyed playing games and shopping on his computer for newfangled, high-tech gadgets. He is a HUGE Steelers fan, and an awesome grillmaster of pork butts and ribs.
He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the local 45 hall, 8930 Pams Avenue, North Chesterfield, Virginia 23237, the family asks please bring your best TJ stories to share with everyone. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to a charity of your choice, perform an act of kindness, or adopt a new pet from a local animal shelter or rescue.
