Thomas Moore Jr.

Thomas P. Moore Jr., 89, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Chippenham Medical Center. He was the widower of Irene Drake Moore and was preceded in death by two sisters Mildred Roberts, and Juanita Wright and the son of the late Thomas P. Moore Sr., and Mildred Wright Moore. Mr. Moore was a W.W. II., United States Army Veteran and was a founding member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Colonial Heights. Mr. Moore is survived by a son, David T. Moore of Amelia; daughter; Linda M. Chamberlain and husband, Robert M. Sr., of Colonial Heights; a grandson, Robert M Chamberlain Jr., of Prince George; a sister, Virginia Shaffer of Seaford, Delaware and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00a.m. on Saturday August 14, 2010, at St Michaels Episcopal Church 501 Old Town Drive Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Mr. Keith McMurdo officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to St. Michaels Episcopal Church.
