Thomas Parham Jr.

Thomas M. Parham Jr., 77, of Glen Allen, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital. He was the son of the late Thomas M. Parham Sr. and Carrie Lanier Parham. Mr. Parham received his Bachelor's Degree, in Chemistry, from Virginia Tech in 1960, and began his employment with Allied Chemical where he worked for 36 years before his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gladys Somner Parham; three daughters, Pamela Swift and husband William of Sterling, Emily Oden and husband Steven of Powhatan, and Beth White and husband Rickey of Gautier, Mississippi; a brother, Russell Brooks Parham and wife Ann of Richmond; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Kathleen & Billy Swift, Michael & Allyson Oden, and Sarah Beth White. A memorial service and visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Ernest Hogge officiating.
