Thomas Stanley

Thomas B. Stanley, 87, of Petersburg died Sunday, May 4, 2008. He was the son of the late Frederick Bolling and Myrtie Cotten Stanley. Mr. Stanley was the owner of Stanley Florist in Petersburg, and a lifetime member of the Petersburg American Legion Post #2. He is survived by his wife, Helen F. Stanley of Petersburg; daughter, LeAnn S. Binger and husband, Roy of Petersburg; two grandsons, John Andrew (Drew) Copeland, Jr., and Raymond E. (Tres) Spain III; great-granddaughter, Erin Copeland all of Petersburg. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Rev. Carl Cosslett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
