Thomas Taylor

Thomas Glenn Taylor, 62, of Matoaca, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late Donnie and Virgie Jackson Taylor and was preceded in death by a sister, Nanci T. DiRienzo. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post #2, Fraternal Order of the Eagles # 882. Thomas is survived by his wife, Cathy D. Taylor; son, Thomas G. Taylor II and wife, Heidi of Matoaca; stepdaughter, Cynthia D. Lang of Chester; four grandchildren, Thomas Vincent Bohannon, Halee Katelynn Taylor, Thomas Griffin Taylor and Preston Garner Lang; brother, Donald W. Taylor and wife, Doris Jean of Hopewell; sister, Faye T. Woodfin and husband, T. G. Jr., of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend David Prather officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friend Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
