Thomas Wade

Tommy Wade, 81, of Dinwiddie County, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Chesterfield Co., VA he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Mary Griffin Wade; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Carleen Shepperson; and his second wife, Mary E. Wade. Tommy retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco after 30 plus years of service. He loved tractors, farming, hunting and was a jack of all trades. Tommy is survived by two sons, Keith Wade (Pam) and Bubba Mayer (Rita); six grandchildren, Clint, Theresa, Dale, Tiffany, Josh and Jessica; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Minnie; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
