Thomas “T.L.” Davis Jr.

Thomas L. “T.L.” Davis, Jr., 94, of South Chesterfield passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 with his family by his side. Born August 21, 1928, he was the son of the late Julia Brooks and Thomas Lloyd Davis, Sr., and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Madeline Lewis and Vera Eastman; son, James “Jimmy” Davis; sons-in-law, Scrappy Crowder and Les Porter.

In 1959, he opened T.L. Davis Auto Repair, where he served his community until retiring in 1993. He cherished the family farm in Dinwiddie that he purchased in 1976. An avid outdoorsman, T.L. enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. Most of all, he cherished his time spent with his beloved family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Margaret Davis (married January 31, 1948); children, David (Linda), Brenda (dcd. Les), Cindy (dcd. Scrappy), Barry (Bonnie); daughter-in-law, Gail Davis (dcd. Jimmy); 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Darrell), JW (Tabitha), Jessica (Daniel), Jamie (Michael), Brian (Angela), Jason (Sherri), Kimberly, Jake (Jessica), Courtney (Thor), Jackie (Justin), Daniel (Brandi) Nicole (Mavrick), Savannah; and 25 great-grandchildren, Jade, Savannah, Dylan, Emily, Berkley, Blain, Braydon, Trista, Kaydie, Abigail, Breanna, Makinlee, Julia, Graham, Chase, Paige, Claire, Easton, Cora, Banks, Levi, Bodie, Austin, Carlee, Blakely.
