Thomas "Tom" Kifer

Thomas Charles Kifer, 56, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Retired Lt. Tom Kifer served our community with the Colonial Heights Police Department for over 32 years with distinction and honor. He held assignments with Investigations, Administration, and Patrol. Tom was involved in CrimeSolvers, Citizens Academy, Sentinels, and was the Public Information Officer. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas B. Kifer. He is survived by his wife, Christine D. Kifer; mother, Galina Spain; daughter, Allyson O’Neal (Brian); and grandson, Owen O’Neal. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Colonial Heights American Legion, Post 284, 505 Springdale Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
