Timothy Cates

Timothy Payton Cates, 48, of Colonial Heights, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Elkins, West Virginia. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia and was a contractor. He was preceded in death by his father; William Bryant Cates and a brother, Calvin Bryant Cates. Mr. Cates is survived by his mother, Peggy Marlene Ross of Colonial Heights; step daughter, Autumn; a brother, Alan Lee Cates (Cheri)of Chesterfield, Va.; two sisters, Linda Cates Williams(Toby) and Cherie R. Cates-Johnson(John) both of Colonial Heights; numerous nieces and nephews; his best friend, Bud Hedrick of Elkins, West Virginia. Committal services will be private.
